I'm wondering about the Internet points in the hotel rooms - does anyone happen to know what kind of connecter/adapter we'd need to bring to get online with a laptop?

I got my confirmation about 3-4 hours after my own email, no problem. I thought the early birds had already beaten the track for the rest of us...

I´ve spoken to Mrs. Król from the hotel recently and she told me, that they have send confirmations to the conference participants. Maybe your anti spam filter has stopped that or something else happened.
Perhaps you´ll try to call them - they surely do speak English.

I have made my reservation on-line but I'm still waiting the confirmation from the System Hotel. Is anybody else facing the same situation?

Same sort of problem. I talked over the phone with Justyna Florys (+ 48 12 614 48 05), on agreeing to my suggestion I confirmed my conversation with a email asking for their bank details for a wire transfer for the first night (57 €), etc. I got an prompt personal reply with those details so the problem was fortunately solved. I hope this can be of use to someone.

Although there's already enough misery in this world, I've decided to get in line with most other participants and upload my pic. Hope this won't scare off too many new registrants, though.

Giuliana and me we had a lot of problems with the hotel and we had to call them several times to make sure our reservation was registered (our reservation caused quite a lot of difficulties to them, because we decided to stay a bit longer than the conference). We refused to send credit card details, also because they state in their conditions that details are only required for arrivals after 18.00 and we arrive in the morning. After 3 weeks and a never-ending e-mail-story we finally got our confirmation. So I would suggest you to insist sending messages to Ms. Monika Krol.

I'm having a bit of a problem with the hotel - they want me to fax credit card details and authorization to debit my card: I'm afraid I'm not happy with that and they have not replied to my latest message.
Have you or any of the others any suggestions?

You should be able to sign up for each session using "Sign up to attend this session" link which appears on every session page. Doesn't it work for you?

Hi, I see it and will try to fix it. Actually, as session "owner" you should be able to edit it... I will contact you in private about that.

I have tried several time to sign up for workshops, but I can never open that page. Is it just my problem?

thanks for organising this, Magda - the name of "my" discussion group is "verunglueckt", as they say here, and I can't seem to fix it . . .

It's great that the number of registrations is already greater than for the Oxford conference last year but I have to say that the event is not particularly obvious on the site.
Surely it justifies a promotional box on the home page, doesn't it?

I am checking the conference page now and then to see who else has signed up, but I never manage to find who are the new people. It seems that the listing always changes, even the existing persons are always in different order, so it's basically impossible to find out who else has joined the party. Could we have people listed in the order they register?

I'm taking my English boyfriend with me (speaks very little Polish). And I was wondering whether there are any activities planned for partners. I notices, quite a number of us bring their other halves. Is anything mentioned in the conference programme? Have I missed something? Or should we just hope they organise themselves to go sightseeing etc. in Kraków?
