Hola, gente. Organizar un Powwow de esta magnitud no es nada fácil. Estamos intentando que este evento salga lo mejor posible y pedimos solamente un mínimo de colaboración. Por este motivo, me veo en la obligación de escribir en estos términos. Lamentablemente aquellos residentes en Argentina que mañana no hayan hecho el depósito, se quedan afuera del Powwow. Entiendan que nosotros, al igual que ustedes, también somos traductores, tenemos miles de cosas que hacer y no somos organizadores de eventos; manejar semejante suma de dinero en una noche y cobrarle a cada uno por separado es bastante engorroso, por así decirlo.

Hola, gente. Les recuerdo a todos aquellos residentes en Argentina que aún no han hecho el depósito que el 18 es el último día para hacerlo (y para mandarme el comprobante). Caso contrario, habré de suponer que no asisten al Powwow. Solo tengo 35 depósitos, y hay 170 personas inscriptas. Les pido encarecidamente que me den una mano con esto; no es nada fácil organizar un evento de estas dimensiones.

The powwow will take place at about 9 pm. More information will follow soon as we first need to confirm how many of you are coming and who else is coming with some of you (many prozians from abroad are bringing partners/kids/friends). Weather at that time of the year will be cool with temperatures ranging from 7 - 19ºC. It is the cuasi start of the spring time ;-)

and see if I succeed in convincing my boyfriend... ;-)) But I must admit that I'm a very chilly person. That's why I haven't visited Krakow (this year's location) almost at all... And it's quite a pitty to go somewhere and just stay in the hotel. :-(

You can come to the conference, then go North, to the Iguazú falls, where the weather is warmer and sometimes (even in winter) is hot!
Anyway, Buenos Aires isn't thaaaat cold everyday and we do have beautiful and sunny days in winter. Don't miss it!

not this really is a problem... as I was planning to combine the conference with my summer holidays, but my boyfriend hates winter. all he wants is sun, sand and beach..

The weather is cold, sometimes very cold (5° or 6°degrees centigrades) and Buenos Aires is wet all year long! You'll need sweaters and a warm jacket!

how's the weather generally, at the end of August, in Buenos Aires?
