SENIOR RESEARCH ENGINEER

Verantwoordelijk voor ontwerpen en verifiëren van processen in soldeermachines. Interne en externe advisering t.a.v. soldeertechnologie (Wave en Reflow).
PLAATS IN DE ORGANISATIE
De functie wordt zelfstandig uitgevoerd en ressorteert rechtstreeks onder de Product Group Manager / Manager Operations of Development.
FUNCTIE-OMSCHRIJVING
Voor een goede uitoefening van de functie is HTS niveau vereist, evenals kennis van industriële statistiek en proefopzetten. Verder is ruime ervaring met en inzicht in procestechnologie vereist, evenals bekendheid met technieken voor het ontwerpen en evalueren van processen. Enige jaren ervaring op het gebied van soldeertechnologie is gewenst.
Goede mondelinge en schriftelijke uitdrukkingsvaardigheid in de moderne talen.
De functionaris is verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen en toetsen van de procesperformance van de te ontwikkelen machines. Hiertoe ontwerpt hij/zij test- en meetprogramma's, voert zelf de metingen uit, dan wel laat deze uitvoeren, bewerkt meetgegevens met moderne statistische methodieken en analyseert en interpreteert om tot verantwoorde conclusies te komen m.b.t. de procesperformance van een machine of prototype. De bevindingen legt hij/zij vast in technische rapporten.
De functionaris is verantwoordelijk voor het leiden van klanten evaluatie projecten, waarbij de bijdragen van engineering, sales en eventueel de distributeur, service en operations gecoördineerd moeten worden. Daarnaast is hij/zij verantwoordelijk voor het adviseren van alle afdelingen en klanten zowel aangaande soldeertechnologie, op basis van diepgaande kennis en begrip van het soldeerproces en de algemene markt- en technologie ontwikkelingen in de wereld. Dit strekt zich uit van de op de markt beschikbaarheid van componenten, hulpmiddelen en methoden voor het solderen, de trends en technologische ontwikkelingen daarin alsmede de activiteiten van concurrenten op dit gebied.

MAIN TASKS

ROLE IN THE ORGANISATION
This is an independent position under the direct responsibility of the Product Group Manager / Manager Operations of Development.
JOB DESCRIPTION
In order to perform well in this position, we require a professional and intellectual capacity at Technical College level, as well as knowledge of industrial statistics and test designs. Ample experience with and insight into process technology is a must, as well as familiarity with techniques for designing and evaluating processes. Some years experience in the field of soldering technology is preferred.
Is able to express himself clearly verbal as well as written in contemporary languages.
The officer is responsible for designing and testing the process performance of the machines yet to be developed. The officer designs testing and measuring programmes, performs measurements or have them performed, processes test results with modern statistic methods and analyses and interprets them to come to a reliable conclusion concerning the process performance of a machine or prototype. The results are put down in technical reports.
The officer is responsible for supervising customer evaluation projects, in which contributions of engineering, sales and possibly the distributor, service and operations need to be coordinated. The officer is also responsible for advising all departments and customers on soldering technology, on the basis of a deep knowledge and understanding of the soldering process and the general market, and the technological developments in the world. This involves the availability of components, aids and methods on the market for soldering, trends and technical developments of soldering as well as activities of the competition in this field.
