Les caractéristiques d'un SGBD
L'architecture à trois niveaux définie par le standard ANSI/SPARC permet d'avoir une indépendance entre les données et les traitements. D'une manière générale un SGBD doit avoir les caractéristiques suivantes :
* Indépendance physique : le niveau physique peut être modifié indépendamment du niveau conceptuel. Cela signifie que tous les aspects matériels de la base de données n'apparaissent pas pour l'utilisateur, il s'agit simplement d'une structure transparente de représentation des informations
* Indépendance logique : le niveau conceptuel doit pouvoir être modifié sans remettre en cause le niveau physique, c'est-à-dire que l'administrateur de la base doit pouvoir la faire évoluer sans que cela gêne les utilisateurs
* Manipulabilité : des personnes ne connaissant pas la base de données doivent être capables de décrire leur requête sans faire référence à des éléments techniques de la base de données
* Rapidité des accès : le système doit pouvoir fournir les réponses aux requêtes le plus rapidement possible, cela implique des algorithmes de recherche rapides
* Administration centralisée : le SGBD doit permettre à l'administrateur de pouvoir manipuler les données, insérer des éléments, vérifier son intégrité de façon centralisée
* Limitation de la redondance : le SGBD doit pouvoir éviter dans la mesure du possible des informations redondantes, afin d'éviter d'une part un gaspillage d'espace mémoire mais aussi des erreurs
* Vérification de l'intégrité : les données doivent être cohérentes entre elles, de plus lorsque des éléments font référence à d'autres, ces derniers doivent être présents
* Partageabilité des données : le SGBD doit permettre l'accès simultané à la base de données par plusieurs utilisateurs
* Sécurité des données : le SGBD doit présenter des mécanismes permettant de gérer les droits d'accès aux données selon les utilisateurs

Characteristics of a DBMS
The three-level architecture defined by the ANSI/SPARC model keeps data and processing separate. Generally speaking, a DBMS must have the following characteristics:
* Physical independence: The physical level may be modified independently of the conceptual level. This means that the user cannot see all the hardware components of the database, which is simply a transparent structure for representing the stored information.
* Logical independence: The conceptual level must be editable without disrupting the physical level. In other words, the database's administrator must be able to make improvements without affecting the users' experience.
* Ease of use: People who are not familiar with the database must be able to describe their query without referencing the database's technical components.
* Speedy access: The system must be able to reply to queries as quickly as possible. This requires fast search algorithms.
* Centralised administration: The DBMS must enable the administrator to manipulate data, add elements, and verify their integrity in a centralised manner.
* Limiting redundancy: The DBMS must be able to avoid redundant information whenever possible, both to minimise errors and to prevent wasting disk space.
* Integrity checking: The data must be internally coherent, and when some elements reference other elements, the latter must be present.
* Data sharing: The DBMS must allow for multiple users to simultaneously access the database.
* Data security: The DBMS must be capable of managing each user's data access rights.

Les gaines et goulottes
Les réseaux intérieurs d'immeubles existants sont souvent déployés dans des gaines ou goulottes. Leur réutilisation pour passer un nouveau câblage fibre, lorsqu'elle est possible, permet de diminuer le besoin de nouveaux travaux, et donc les nuisances et les coûts.
En particulier, il n'est pas exclu que la réutilisation de gaines existantes puisse exonérer l'opérateur de l'obtention d'une délibération favorable de l'assemblée des copropriétaires pour déployer un réseau fibre. Il s'agirait d'un avantage majeur pour la desserte du parc de logements privés.
Il ne paraît pas évident que les gaines téléphoniques existantes puissent supporter sans modification le tirage d'un réseau fibre. L'Autorité n'est pas certaine que France Télécom soit en mesure de réutiliser les gaines téléphoniques pour supporter ses premiers déploiements fibre.
En théorie, les gaines posées avant 1974 appartiennent à France Télécom, et celles postérieures aux copropriétés. En pratique, il semble que France Télécom et certaines copropriétés considèrent que France Télécom a un droit de jouissance exclusif de ces gaines, en échange de leur maintenance à titre gracieux. Conduits and trunking
Indoor networks in existing buildings are often deployed in the telephone conduits or electrical trunking. Reusing them to run new fibre cables through, whenever possible, can reduce the need for new building modifications, and with them the annoyances and costs.
In particular, it is conceivable that reusing existing conduits might exempt the provider from requiring approval from the assembly of co-owners to deploy a new fibre network. This would be a major advantage when wiring a series of private housing units.
It remains to be seen if existing telephone conduits can support the installation of fibre networks without modification. The Authority is not sure if France Télécom is in a position to reuse telephone conduits to support its initial fibre-optic deployments.
In theory, conduits laid before 1974 belong to France Télécom, and those placed afterwards belong to the building's co-owners. In practice, it seems that France Télécom and certain co-owners agree that France Télécom has exclusive rights to use these conduits, in return for maintaining them at no cost. Saint-Pierre (Colombie-Britannique) - Un auteur-compositeur-interprète céleste qui a réussi à s'imposer sur la scène franco-britano-colombienne en remportant les honneurs du Pacifique en Chanson et du Chant'Ouest 2006. Une musique aux accents jazz portée par la nouvelle vague de la chanson française.
Anique Granger (Saskatchewan) – Artiste agile, autodidacte et indépendante déterminée, elle dessine son propre paysage musical aux couleurs de ses grands espaces de l'Ouest Canadien. Elle nous entraîne dans un univers sensuel et envoûtant, fort en contrastes, où la richesse du jeu de guitare souligne admirablement l'intensité des mélodies et l'importance des mots.
