If there was ever a year that proved the strength of XXXX¡¯s global team, it was 2007. Our sales in the United States dropped significantly due to severe weakness in key markets, but the rest of the world saw explosive growth. Team XXXX pulled together to meet strong customer demand in Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Russia. As a result, 2007 marks our fourth consecutive year of record sales and revenues and earnings per share. In turbulent times we delivered, and employees around the world deserve a big thank you for our success!
Further, during 2007 we kept our focus on delivering the commitments outlined in our enterprise strategy. Our workplaces are safer today than ever before, with about 1,000 more employees going home safely to their families in 2007 as a result of our efforts to establish safe work practices. Customers and dealers are beginning to see a real difference in product quality because we delivered one of the best years of improvement ever in very early hour reliability (which measures repairs required during the first 10-20 hours of operation). We continue to make strides in employee engagement, and with the implementation of the XXXX Production System, we¡¯re truly changing the way we work together in facilities around the world.
We didn¡¯t achieve these results because of a few people or a few projects. I had worked for an IBM vendor as a project manager for 5 years to manage some IBM localization projects and to control the translation quality. In 2003, I had been nominated as IBM best QA.
I became a freelance from August, 2005 and provide translation/editing services, during which, my major working fields include automobile specification logs, contracts, medical consents, and products advertising etc..
