I'm currently studying in the Master's program (English language and literature) at Tartu University, so my days are filled with lectures and reading. I'm therefore relatively unavailable at this moment and this applies especially to urgent jobs
Freelancer working for several publishing houses and two translation agencies. Portfolio as of February 2011 includes over 20 books and plays and approximately 8000 pages of everyday texts.
I have also written 24 articles for magazines and done sound design for 10 projects (including 7 theater plays).
As a creative person, I compose music, write poetry, prose and plays. As of February 2011, I have published one collection of poetry.
I am very much in-demand due to my lightning quick translation skills (4-5 pages an hour, 30 pages a day) which are combined with an innate attention to detail and quality - certified by the translation agencies' decision to use me as a proofreader and consultant.
My speed also means that I'm often used as an "emergency worker" who is called in when someone has botched their job and the deadline is imminent. One of my finest achievements was to save a book translation that had gone horribly wrong. I translated 200 pages in less than 2 weeks and the book was published in time, with praise from the editor. However, this does not mean that I enjoy working overtime and under the crackle of chronological whips. |
