Radiating remnants of a setting moon,
crows cawing in frosty autumn sky,
Riverside maples and lights from fishing boats fluttering,
bade my sweet sleep fly.
On the outskirts of Suzhou city is Hanshan Temple,
Where the sound of bell-tolling at midnight reaches my boat. |

甜菜咸广泛存在于植物中，尤其在甜菜中含量最多。甜菜咸是甘氨酸的三甲基内盐
[(CH3)3N CH2COO-],系一种季胺型生物咸。它的作用功效主要有：1）作为甲基供体；2）促进脂肪代谢；3）改善饲料适口性；4）调节渗透压，缓解应激；5）减轻抗生素对肠道的损伤；6）有利于维生素预混料的稳定性；7）畜禽肉质改进剂。 | Translation - English
Betaine appears as white crystals, sweet in taste and odour. It is hygroscopic and readily soluble in water, ethanol and formaldehyde, slightly soluble in ethyl ether with a melting point of 293 C. Betaine, with a molecular weight of 117.15, is very stable with strong anti-oxidising ability and able to withstand temperature of 200C. It is ubiquitously present in plants, particularly in sugar beet where it is most abundant. Betaine is chemically known as trimethyl glycine, liken to an amide related biological alkaline. Its main benefits are:1) provider of methyl groups; 2) promotes fat metabolism; 3) improves feed palatability; 4) regulates osmotic pressure,defuse stress; 5) decreases the degree of damage to the intestines by antibiotics; 6) benefits the stability of vitamins in premix feed; 7) improves the meat quality of poultry. |
