Nuestra historia
A lo largo de cuatro generaciones y más de sesenta años se fue desarrollando una empresa netamente nacional que fijó, como misión, ser pionera en brindar al conjunto de los uruguayos productos de calidad, de diseño y tecnología de avanzada en cada uno de sus emprendimientos.
Desde los primeros impulsos personales de aquella primera generación de inmigrantes, fabricando instrumentos quirúrgicos artesanalmente, pasando luego a equipamientos hospitalarios, muebles para el hogar, y llegando en estos últimos 20 años a constituirse en líder en la fabricación de equipamientos para la oficina y la industria con calidad y diseño competitivo con los mercados internacionales.
Desde sus comienzos en un sótano como incipiente taller metalúrgico, se fue desarrollando hasta ocupar actualmente su planta propia de 3000 m2, con instalaciones de avanzada en las áreas de carpintería, metalúrgica, modernos sistemas de pintura, tapicería, conformación de maderas por alta frecuentica, entre otros.
En el mes de setiembre de 2008, nuestra empresa adquirió un terreno de 42000 m2 en donde se instalara nuestra nueva planta industrial de última tecnología capaz de competir de igual a igual con fabricas de todas partes del mundo.
Su departamento propio de investigación y desarrollo de productos ha permitido ofrecer líneas de avanzada totalmente diseñadas por computadora, como es el caso de sus líneas D…….., N……… y F…….., que actualmente incursionan en el mercado internacional.
Como claro exponente de ese afán de mejorar día a día y garantizar la plena satisfacción de sus clientes, nuestra empresa logró en el 2004 la certificación ISO 9001/2000, siendo la única empresa uruguaya en el rubro que ha logrado esta distinción.
Comprometida con la sociedad ene l cuidado del medio ambiente trabajo en el proyecto de conversión de la manufactura de Espumas de Poliuretano a tecnologías libres de CFCs (Convenio de Cooperación con el Ministerio de Vivienda, Ordenamiento Territorial y Medio Ambiente) obteniendo en el mes de mayo de 2003 el certificado de “Ozono Amigo” por parte del Laboratorio Tecnológico del Uruguay y la DINAMA (Dirección Nacional de Medio Ambiente).

Picking dinámico
En las estanterías para Picking Dinámico, la mercancía se almacena sobre plataformas de roldanas o rodillos, diseñados en plano inclinado de modo que aquella se desplaza por gravedad.
Paletización convencional
La paletización Convencional constituye la solución más adecuada para aquellos almacenes en los que es necesario almacenar productos paletizados con gran variedad de referencias.
La amplia gama de perfiles y complementos permiten una óptima adaptación a cada necesidad de carga y de altura. La distribución y la altura de las estanterías se determinan en función de las características de las carretillas elevadoras, de los elementos de almacenaje y de las dimensiones del local.
Paletizacion compacta:
Este sistema de almacenaje está constituído por un conjunto de estanterías, que forman calles interiores de carga, con carriles de apoyo para las paletas.
Las carretillas penetran en dichas calles interiores con la carga elevada por encima del nivel en el que va a ser depositada.Para agilizar las maniobras de las carretillas se disponen carriles guía para favorecer los desplazamientos y minimizar la posibilidad de daños accidentales.
Paletización Dinámica por Gravedad
Las estanterías para Paletización Dinámica por Gravedad incorporan caminos de rodillos, con una ligera pendiente que permite el deslizamiento de las paletas sobre éstos.Las paletas se introducen por el extremo más alto de los caminos y se desplazan, por gravedad y a velocidad controlada, hasta el extremo contrario, quedando dispuestas para su extracción sin que la primera paleta sea empujada por las demás.
El Almacén Autoportante
El Almacén Autoportante constituye la solución más acertada para el almacenaje en grandes alturas, puesto que está concebido para que las estanterías formen un grupo compacto junto con las cubiertas y los laterales del propio almacén, evitando así obra civil. En estas obras de ingeniería, las estanterías soportan no sólo las cargas propias de las mercancías y de los diversos elementos de la construcción sino también los empujes de los medios de manipulación y los agentes externos: fuerza del viento, sobrecarga de nieve, movimientos sísmicos, etc. Además, estos almacenes permiten una altura de construcción mayor, pues sólo está limitada por las normativas locales o el alcance de ls medios de manipulación que se empleen.
Estos almacenes posibilitan la aplicación de diferentes grados de automatización para un máximo rendimiento.
Almacenes Mini – Load
Los almacenes Mini - Load o AAC (Almacén Automático para Cajas) aplican el principio "producto a hombre": las unidades de carga (cajas), situadas en las estanterías, son manipuladas automáticamente por un transelevador, que las acerca al puesto del operario para que éste extraiga o deposite el producto.
A continuación las cajas son devueltas a su lugar en la estantería por el mismo procedimiento. El puesto de trabajo, situado al final del pasillo, puede estar equipado con todas las comodidades para optimizar el rendimiento del operario: terminal, impresora, escáner, cajas, bolsas, etc.

Dynamic picking
In Dynamic Picking shelving goods are stored on roller platforms designed as sloping shelf trays to allow for a gravitational movement of goods.
Standard pallet racking
Standard pallet racking is the best solution for warehouses storing pallets with a wide variety of references.
A wide variety of frames, beams and accesories allow this system to meet every possible load and height need. Shelving design and height are determined according to forklift truck specifications, load characteristics and warehouse dimensions.
Drive in / drive through pallet racking
Drive in/drive through pallet racking consists of a series of racks forming lanes between them for loading/ unloading of goods, with pallets mounted onto rails.
Forklift trucks driving through these aisles carry the load above storage level. Wire-guided or rail-guided reach truck systems improve forklift truck performance and minimize the possibility of accidental damages.
Gravity flow rack systems
Gravity flow rack systems use roll tracks set at a gentle incline to allow pallets to move smoothly down to the unloading end.
Pallets are loaded at the highest part of the rack and move by gravity, at a controlled speed, from the loading to the unloading end,where they are stored for removal without the first pallet being pushed by the others.
Self-supporting warehouses
A self-supporting warehouse is the best solution for high-density storage, as the warehouse's shelves, roof and side wall panels are designed to constitute a compact group, thus avoiding the need for any construction work.
In this type of engineering works shelving frames must withstand not only the weight of the stored goods and the different construction elements but also wear and tear produced by handling equipment and by various external agents: windforce, snow accumulation , seismic movements, etc. Moreover, these warehouses allow for a higher building height, limited only by local regulations or handling equipment working reach.
Varying degrees of automation can be applied in these warehouses in order to achieve optimal productivity.
Mini-load warehouses
A Mini-load automated warehouse is an automated warehouse for boxes. It is based on the "product to man" principle. Load unit (boxes) in racks are handled automatically by a forklift which brings them next to the operator for storage or retrieval of goods.
Boxes are then returned to their place in the shelves using the same procedure.The workstation at the end of the aisle can be equipped with all the amenities needed to optimize the worker¬´s productivity: computer terminal, printer, scanner, boxes, bags, etc.

Power down!
A great deal of the resources we use and the waste we create is in the energy we consume. Look for opportunities in your life to significantly reduce energy use: drive less, fly less, turn off lights, buy local seasonal food (food takes energy to grow, package, store and transport), wear a sweater instead of turning up the heat, use a clothesline instead of a dryer, vacation closer to home, buy used or borrow things before buying new, recycle. All these things save energy and save you money. And, if you can switch to alternative energy by supporting a company that sells green energy to the grid or by installing solar panels on your home, bravo!
Waste less
Per capita waste production in the U.S. just keeps growing. There are hundreds of opportunities each day to nurture a Zero Waste culture in your home, school, workplace, church, community. This takes developing new habits which soon become second nature. Use both sides of the paper, carry your own mugs and shopping bags, get printer cartridges refilled instead of replaced, compost food scraps, avoid bottled water and other over packaged products, upgrade computers rather than buying new ones, repair and mend rather than replace….the list is endless! The more we visibly engage in re-use over wasting, the more we cultivate a new cultural norm, or actually, reclaim an old one!
Make Your Voice Heard.
Write letters to the editor and submit articles to local press. In the last two years, and especially with Al Gore winning the Nobel Peace Prize, the media has been forced to write about Climate Change. As individuals, we can influence the media to better represent other important issues as well. Letters to the editor are a great way to help newspaper readers make connections they might not make without your help. Also local papers are often willing to print book and film reviews, interviews and articles by community members. Let’s get the issues we care about in the news.

Baja el gasto enérgetico!
Gran parte de los recursos que utilizamos y los desechos que producimos están en la energía que consumimos. Busca en tu vida diaria oportunidades para reducir sustancialmente el gasto enérgetico: maneja menos, vuela menos, apaga luces, compra alimentos de estación producidos localmente ( producir, envasar,almacenar y transportar alimentos requiere energía), usa un suéter en vez de encender la calefacción, cuelga la ropa al sol en vez de usar la secadora, toma vacaciones cerca de tu casa,compra artículos de segunda mano o pídelos prestados en vez de comprarlos nuevos, recicla.Todas estas cosas te permitirán ahorrar energía y dinero.Y, si puedes cambiarte a un proveedor de la red que suministre energía “verde” o instalar paneles solares, mejor aún!
Produce menos desechos
La cantidad de desechos per cápita producidos en los EEUU sigue creciendo. Existen cientos de oprtunidades al día de fomenter una cultura de Cero Desecho en tu hogar, escuela, lugar de trabajo, iglesia, comunidad. Esto implica crear nuevos hábitos que pronto se volverán automáticos. Usa ambos lados del papel, lleva tu propia taza y bolsas de compras, rellena los cartuchos de la impresora en vez de comprar nuevos, haz compost con los restos de comida, evita el agua embotellada y otros productos con exceso de embalaje, actualiza las computadoras en lugar de comprar nuevas, repara o arregla las cosas en vez de reemplazarlas,...la lista es interminable! Cuanto más nos involucremos, de manera visible,en reusar en lugar de crear desechos, más contribuiremos a establecer una nueva norma cultural, o mejor dicho, a recuperar una antigua costumbre!

En los últimos dos años y en especial desde que Al Gore ganó el Premio Nobel de la Paz, los medios de comunicación se han visto obligados a hablar del cambio climático. Como individuos, podemos influir en los medios para que cubran de manera adecuada otros temas también importantes. Las cartas al editor son un excelente modo de hacer que los lectores de periódicos hagan asociaciones que no harían sin tu ayuda. Los periódicos locales están frecuentemente dispuestos a publicar críticas sobre libros y películas, entrevistas y artículos escritos por miembros de la comunidad.
