I'm a Brazilian Portuguese native speaker with a BS degree on Biology and 12 years of translation experience. I became a freelance translator by random at first, and then by choice.

What makes me passionate about translation is the fact that it gives me the opportunity of learning about a range of different things, some of which I might never have known otherwise, as well as the chance to deepen my knowledge in the subjects I have expertise.

My main areas of expertise are medical, pharmaceutical, biology, agriculture & food, business, education and human & children's rights. I also have some experience in life sciences, chemistry, scripts, subtitles, tourism & hospitality, computers, IT, internet, software, beauty and fashion.

My experience stems from all the years I've been working as a freelance translator as well as 4 years at a prestigious American consultancy company and 2 years at a major luxury hotel chain. Besides a number of different places in Brazil, I've lived in the USA, UK and Sweden; I have also worked in several different areas.

My language pairs are: English-Portuguese, Portuguese-English and Swedish-Portuguese.
Daily output is roughly 2,500-3,500 words per day for translation, and 4,000-6,000 words per day for proofreading/editing.

I make sure to only take on a job when I'm certain I can deliver good quality, accurate work in a timely fashion!
