Bio
Studied 1 year extensive Japanese language course under a scholarship grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). Continued studies in a college of technology, then undergraduate course, and finally graduate school for a total of 8 years alongside native Japanese speakers.

Obtained M.S. degree in Civil Engineering, major in geotechnical engineering from a prestigious Japanese university. Took up units in various technical fields including, but not limited to environmental, sanitation and transportation (railway, road, coastal) engineering, and architecture.

Passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1 (highest level) in 1999, 2004, 2007 and 2010 (N1). Knowledgeable in Japanese and U.S. construction, safety and environmental laws, standards and criteria.

Works for a top Japanese engineering consultant as Civil Engineer, Specifications Writer, Translator, Interpreter, and Project Facilitator. Handled over 120 civil engineering, environmental and architectural projects for Japanese and foreign clients since 2003.
