I have worked in education and the creative arts for over 30 years – the last 27 of them in Denmark and have been translating for over 20 years. I have written several books and devised teaching materials for schools - including the world’s shortest English grammar. As well as teaching and translating, I have also worked professionally as a musician and have lectured on education and run educational courses since 1983.

Translation

Primarily Da/Eng, Eng/Da. With or without CAT (Computer Assisted Translation). All types of translation, but especially; business-related, culture, media, journalism, education, medicine, technology and the natural sciences. Proof-reading

Proof-reading and reviewing is an integral part of the translation process and I often work with a tandem translator to ensure accuracy. I also proof-read already translated material and can offer constructive suggestions for tightening up a text or even re-writing it.

Copywriting

Being a writer myself, I love words and language so, when “the phrase that says it all,” is just beyond reach, I can reach it for you and get your message across with concise and effective English copy to suit most creative and business briefs.

Intensive English Coaching

I also offer intensive English coaching, either one-to-one or to small groups. This can be anything from conversation sessions and work on pronunciation and presentation skills, to regular English teaching, including grammar training and spoken and written language.

Language Network

I have an extensive network in Denmark and cooperate with some of the best known translators and translation agencies. I have also good contacts in the Baltic States and Eastern Europe, so that, in addition to working with Danish and English and the Scandinavian languages, we can also deliver in Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian and Romanian.
