I am a sworn interpreter/translator Dutch-English, registered under number 2504 with Bureau BTV (the Dutch government’s registration office for sworn translators). I interpret both consecutively and simultaneously and also work as a voice-over. I regularly function as a court interpreter. I specialize in Defence, Law, Business/Economics, IT and Ballet.

Background
I have a Master of Science in Business Administration from the Erasmus University/Rotterdam School of Management (1996) and also graduated as an interpreter/translator Dutch-English (1998). After having worked for some years as a business consultant and projectmanager in IT, I became a senior officer with the Royal Netherlands Air Force in 2001. Currently, I work for the Netherlands Defence Academy as an assistant professor of Defence Economics.

In addition to my main job, I have always worked as a freelance interpreter/translator Dutch. I have translated (Dutch-English) 'Implementing Change' by Pater & Roest (Pentascope). I regularly function as a court interpreter, whispering interpreter during conferences and consecutive interpreter during hearings.

As a voice-over, I can be heard in radio commercials and audio books. My most recent audio book is 'Dochter van Isfahan' by Anita Amiressvani. For more information see Stemmenweb. I speak and write British-English, and have taken the voice-over course in Leiden.
