「罪は悔いていますが、必然でもありました」
木村巧二は詐欺師時代に行った数々の犯罪行為を、今でもそう振り返る。九州の高校を卒業後、整備士となった彼の運命を決めたのは、ある交通事故だった。対向車線を越えてきたベンツに正面衝突された木村は一方的な被害者でありながら、保険屋の裏取引によってその責任の正当な権利を奪われたのである。自分の主張が聞き入れられない不甲斐なさから、木村は交渉力を身につけようと営業マンに転職。浄水器の訪問販売や自己啓発CDの電話営業などで優秀な成績を残した後、彼は詐欺会社と噂のあった企業に就職した。彼はそこで幹部の会話を盗聴して、細かな詐欺のノウハウを盗み出す。
自分だけの力で、いったいどこまで出来るのか。木村はそれまでに身につけた営業スキルの集大成として詐欺を働こうと考えるようになっていた。必要な元手のひとつは名簿である。会社のセキュリティが厳重になった昨今も、小遣い稼ぎのために顧客名簿を持ち出す従業員は後を絶たない。名簿の値段にはランキングがあり、携帯電話会社などから漏れた不特定多数の名簿は1件につき1円。賞品の売買履歴などがわかるものは、その情報の内容によって1件10円から100円までの値で売られている。

Looking back on his days as fraudster, Takuji Kimura says “I have regret for what I’ve done. But it was also a natural course of events.” After graduating from high school in Kyushu, he became a mechanic. Then one day, he got into a car accident—an event that was to change his fate. A Mercedes-Benz ran straight into him from opposite direction. Although he was a complete victim, he was deprived of the legitimate right to compensation by a backroom deal fixed by an insurance broker. Upset by the fact that his claim was not heard, Kimura decided to become a sales person to gain better negotiating ability. After achieving outstanding performances selling water purifiers and self-development CDs, he jointed a company rumored to be engaged in scam, where he eavesdropped on executives’ conversations to steal scam know-how.
He began to see the act of scam as a way to test his sales capability he had earned over the years. All he needed to start a fraud was a name list. Even nowadays where companies’ securities have tightened, there seems to be no end to employees sneaking customer lists out of their companies to get some spending money. Prices given to name lists are varied. Lists of unspecified names leaked from cell phone providers are sold for 1 per name, and lists containing such information as purchase records are sold for from 10 up to 100 per name depending on the content of information.

The Réyes Spring 2009 collection is inspired by the eclectic style of the artsy girl who rules the galleries in Chelsea and is referred to as the “Gallerina.” She is a quirky, free spirited, highly intellectual individual who has plenty of charm and boyish attitude.
Pulling inspiration from her work, the contemporary artists she surrounds herself with, and her dada-esque ability to see art in everyday objects. She has a tendency to experiment with her style, never afraid of wearing a sheer jumpsuit to work or a burlap dress to a cocktail party.
Her daily inspiration is derived from a vibrant palette of artists, as she mixes colors, patterns and prints to create an effortless look of confidence. A loosely cut painter’s jumpsuit with utilitarian kangaroo pockets is accentuated by a colorful campshirt. Ikat degrade organza is cut in layers, chevron pattern shirtdresses pop with bright hemlines, and shirts are sheer enough to hint at what’s underneath. Graphic pieces are cut in black and white and colorblocked.
Silhouettes are versatile allowing a smooth transition from work to play. Boy scout inspired campshirts are narrowly cut in sheer gauze to reveal playful undergarments. Trousers come in different proportions, some tapered at the ankle, others hitting mid-calf. Tailored bermudas and tie front culottes offer a unique alternative to the full length trouser. Skirts are layered and multi- tiered with pleats, tucks, and folds. The jersey is draped and twisted while viscose linens is folded and cut asymmetrically. Basket weave burlap is given an urban edge when paired with bright organza slips.
Fabrics are versatile from day to evening. Satins, silk organza, and viscose ottoman are used in everyday dressing. Waxed linen and rubberized cotton outerwear mixed with cotton organza, gauze creates textured looks.
True to the Gallerina mood khaki, tobacco, and olive are mixed with kelly green and shocking hints of magenta, marigold, chartreuse and blood orange.
