Currently I'm a subeditor for Ahram Online, an English-language online newspaper in Egypt. I edit Egypt's political news, International politics, Arts & Culture and some Business. I've recently been appointed as the Editor for Life & Style.

My BA is in International Security and Conflict Resolution.

For three years, I worked as a bilingual graphic designer in an international NGO where I translated and proofread as well as created layouts. Although I've had in-house positions for 8 years, I have been freelancing for the past 8 on a full time basis.

My first language was Spanish and I kept it up very well throughout my studies, mostly in the US and some in Puerto Rico. On a day to day basis I use Spanish and English interchangeably.

***I specialize in translating company's Graphics documents (aka DTP) in the Graphic program itself.

This equals to peace of mind for the project manager because otherwise, they would have to find a way to extract the text from the document, turn it into a Word document, have the translator translate it, then copy and paste it back into the document. The length of each paragraph invariably is longer in the target language, and therefore makes it difficult to place the translated text into the document and make it fit.

I have the graphics programs necessary to translate it and format it for you.

Some of my long-term, recurring projects include Human Resources documents, DMV, Theatrical Arts, Child Development projects, International Organizations and Tourism & Travel.

Given a decent budget, my team of reliable translators from Spain, Mexico, Cuba and Puerto Rico can turn large projects around rather quickly.

Also, I know many Arabic (Egyptian) language translators and would be happy to manage a translation project into English (where I would proofread all documents).
