Deux mécanismes horlogers distincts, pour l’affichage de l’heure et pour une complication supplémentaire, sont synchronisés par un seul organe réglant. Chacun de ces mécanismes possède sa propre source d’énergie. Le seul élément qu’ils partagent est l’organe réglant qui leur fournit la base de temps. Il n’y a pas de transfert énergétique de part et d’autre. Une seule couronne sert au remontage indépendant des deux barillets. Ce nouveau principe assure un fonctionnement d’une précision digne d’un chronomètre sans devoir renoncer à l’utilisation d’une complication.

Selon la philosophie de X社, une montre aussi prestigieuse se devait d’avoir un habillage et une décoration de mouvement des plus exceptionnels. Le nouveau boîtier de la ligne Duomètre est construit avec des cornes soudées polies, et une carrure élégamment satinée. Les cadrans sont grenés et rehaussés d’appliques en or. Les aiguilles, dorées ou rhodiées pour l’heure, en acier bleui pour la complication, sont d’une délicate élégance. Les ponts du mouvement, réalisés en maillechort, reflètent le concept Dual-Wing, avec des formes tendues et droites pour le mécanisme de l’heure, et des arabesques pour la complication. Une décoration qui trouve son inspiration dans la grande tradition des montres de poche de X社.
