Have a healthy pregnancy
Being pregnant is like running a nine-month marathon. But at this finish line, you bring a new life into the world. Like any good athlete, you'll want to prepare your body.
Here are steps you can take now for a healthy pregnancy:
-Visit your doctor. Share information about your diet, lifestyle, medications, and your health and family history. Ask your doctor any questions you have.
-Take a daily multivitamin with at least 400 micrograms of folic acid.
-Eat a variety of healthful foods every day. Avoid foods high in fat and sugar.
-Aim for a healthy weight before you get pregnant. Trying to lose weight when you're pregnant may deprive your baby of nutrients needed for proper growth.
-Exercise regularly. Walking and swimming are excellent activities you can continue when you're pregnant. Talk to your doctor about exercise before you begin.
-Quit smoking. Your doctor can help you stop.
-Don't use alcohol or illegal drugs.
-Avoid hazardous substances such as pesticides or solvents in your workplace and at home.

Estos pasos pueden ayudarle a tener un embarazo sano:
