Architectural history and urban infrastructure are my primary focus and the subject of technical articles that I have published in both English and German. I also enjoy translating in the fields of marketing and publishing, which I have been working in for more than 20 years. I place great value on providing readable and engaging translations while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

Work history

I started as a freelance translator for clients in the entertainment industries before becoming a staff translator at the New York office of a German magazine publisher. During my long-term employment there, I acquired valuable insights into the business of publishing and marketing. Since 2003, I have been a full-time freelancer, increasingly expanding my work into the construction, engineering and IT sectors.

Recent projects have included texts in the following fields: building excavations, sanitary installations, interior decorating, tunnel driving, consumer surveys, business plans, journalism, beverage & cosmetics marketing, electronics, computer programming, software manuals and websites, appliance manuals, screenplays, and a variety of press releases and publicity materials.
