The GPS signal reception can be affected by a number of circumstances:
The receiver needs to be placed in a proper position.
The device should preferably be located at the base of the windscreen.
The environment you are driving through should allow GPS signals to pass.
• Tall buildings and trees or very narrow roads can negatively affect reception.
• Inside buildings it may very well be impossible to receive any signals at all.
The car should allow GPS signals to pass.
• A heat reflective windscreen contains metals which prevent (proper) GPS signal reception.
