La política musical en los territorios ocupados por la Alemania Nazi
La política musical desarrollado por Alemania en el extranjero formaba parte de su política exterior. Desde la Primera Guerra Mundial, esta política estaba a cargo de la entonces recién creada Sección Cultural (Kulturabteilung) del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de Berlín, llamada a partir de 1936 Sección de Política Cultural (Kulturpolitische Abteilung). Para impulsar su política expansionista, Alemania creó durante los años treinta una serie de institutos culturales en el extranjero que, entre otras cosas, debían contrarrestarse las ambiciones de Italia, Francia y Gran Bretaña en este mismo ámbito. Así pues, los tres primeros institutos se fundaron precisamente en estos países: en Roma y Londres, los Institutos Alemanes (Deutsche Institute), y en París la Casa Goethe (Geothehaus). Aunque, en un principio, sus atribuciones se limitaban a la organización de actividades culturales, los institutos Científicos Alemanes (Deutschen Wissenschaftlichen Institute, DWI), creados tras el inicio de la guerra no sin importantes inversiones económicas, desempeñaron además funciones de control junto con otros organismos nacionalsocialistas.
En abril de 1940, el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores abrió un DWI en Bucarest, al que siguieron el de París, como capital del primer país ocupado, en septiembre del mismo año, el de Belgrado en octubre y el de Sofía en noviembre. Más adelante se sucedieron nuevas inauguraciones en Bruselas, Copenhague, Madrid, Budapest, Atenas, Estocolmo, Helsinki, Lisboa, Bratislava, Zagreb y Venecia. Únicamente se establecieron institutos en aquellos países que conservarían una mínima autonomía, o en aquellos sobre cuyo grado de integración en la esfera de influencia alemana Berlín no había tomado aún una decisión definitiva. The policy for music in the territories occupied by Nazi Germany
The policy for music developed by Germany in foreign countries formed a part of its foreign policy. Since the First World War, this policy was the responsibility of the then recently created Cultural Section (Kulturabteilung) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, renamed in 1936 as the Cultural Politics Section (Kulturpolitische Abteilung). To further its expansionist agenda, Germany created a series of cultural institutions in foreign countries in the 1930’s, one of whose various purposes was to counteract similar ambitions held by Italy, France, and Great Britain. Precisely for this reason, the first three institutions were founded in these countries: German Institutes (Deutsche Institute) in both Rome and London, and a Goethe House (Goethehaus) in Paris. Although, at the beginning, their functions were limited to the organization of cultural activities, the well-funded German Scientific Institutes (Deutschen Wissenschaftlichen Institute, DWI), created after the outbreak of the war, also carried out additional joint control activities together with other National Socialist organizations.
In April of 1940, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs opened a DWI in Bucharest, which was followed by others: in September in Paris, as capital of the first country occupied, in October in Belgrade, and in November in Sofia. Further along, other inaugurations took place in Brussels, Copenhagen, Madrid, Budapest, Athens, Stockholm, Helsinki, Lisbon, Bratislava, Zagreb, and Venice.
