OBJECTIVE :
I seek employment as an instructor, translator, interpreter or editor of Urdu and Punjabi languages.
PROFILE :
I bring more than twenty years of international political and administrative experience as a career diplomat in the Foreign Service of Pakistan, with tours in the Middle East and Asia as well as residence in the United States. Moreover, during the last two years, I have gained valuable experience as an Urdu and Punjabi linguist. My career has enabled me to combine excellent interpersonal, communications and customer service skills with challenging responsibilities. I have learned to adopt a disciplined approach to the task at hand and developed the innate ability to anticipate potential obstacles, with a view to attaining specific targets.

Represented Pakistan at numerous International Conferences/Meetings in Turkey, Malaysia, Iran, Morocco, Senegal, and Pakistan. (See Annex A)
1992-95: Accomplished the task of reopening Embassy of Pakistan, Beirut, Lebanon that was not functioning since 1984 due to the civil war. Also supervised the renovation of the Embassy building that was in shambles.
Acted as Charge d’Affaires (Head of Mission) for over a year till the Ambassador came.
1996-97: Worked as Liaison Officer of Pakistan Embassy with the Iranian Interests Section, Washington, D.C.
1997-98 Head of Chancery (Administrative Officer), Embassy of Pakistan, Washington, D.C. Supervised staff strength of around hundred persons.
