I have a PhD in American Studies and offer my customers extensive translation experience.

My dissertation is in German, hence I have worked intensively with the German language during the last 3 years. This makes me the ideal candidate for German translation and proofreading jobs.

I am familiar with (both British and American English) academic texts in the fields of Film Studies, Cultural Studies, Psychology, Philosophy and Anthropology along with general English texts.

During my time as a postgraduate at university I was involved in many publishing projects, often as editor of book-length anthologies. Therefore my knowledge also covers citation guidelines such as MLA and APA.

Furthermore I have completed a 12 months course in process management which broadens my spectrum to texts in the fields of marketing, business & accounting and consultancy.

My basic proofreading service comprises the correction of spelling, grammar (especially German cases), punctuation (such as commas, full stops and, most importantly, quotation marks), style and readability. Furthermore I make sure that the target text has the correct meaning based on the source text. However, I willingly meet customers' additional requests regarding proofreading.
