L’autre, en cette partie de son corps, intime, se montre

Le nombril s’expose avec ou sans envie mais toujours dans une limite de sensation ou de sentiment, jamais dans l’évidence.
Comme si sa structure, sa position, sa situation même lui imposait l’entre deux, le nombril se dessine tant sur notre enveloppe, notre peau, qu’en notre for intérieur. Entrant sortant, saillant creusé, il est dessin autant que relief, visible autant qu’invisible.
Situé entre la poitrine et le sexe chez la femme, formant comme un duplicata étendu et entendu du triangle déjà formé par la toison pubienne, il centre et déconcentre. Et chez l’homme, le lien du nombril, souvent à proximité voire fondu, à la pilosité du sexe procède du même trouble. Il n’est plus question cette fois de nombrilisme sinon sous sa forme sensuelle, libidinale et par extension, génitale.
Source première de vie, fœtale par sa fonction de cordon d’alimentation et postnatale par l’affirmation d’une naissance, le nombril fait liaison puis rupture, il informe et reforme ou parfois déforme.
En brodant des nombrils je crée des zones, des surfaces limites.
Limites entre la forme et son interprétation, entre le « montrer » et le « démontrer », entre l’apparent et le transparent, limite sensible.
Petits carrés tramés, membraneux, mes nombrils s’approprient. Ils restructurent, resituent, repositionnent.
Tant reflet que transparence, mémoire et oubli de la forme, mes nombrils/fils retissent et impriment une ressemblance/différence entre l’autre et soi.

The other One, on this intimate part of the body, animates itself
Navel-like fabric or woven expressions
Daring flesh
The navel exposes itself with or without envy but always in a limit of a sensation or a feeling, never in the obvious way. As if its structure, its position, its own location imposed the in-between situation, the navel shows as much on our body envelope, our skin, as in our inner selves. Prominent or furrowed, pointing inward or outward, the navel is as well a design as a relief, as much visible as invisible.
Located between the chest and the genitals for women, forming a spread duplicate of the already triangle-shaped pubic mop, it centers but also “de-concentrate” at the same time. For men, the link of the navel, often close and almost blended to the pubic mop proceeds of the same order…
It is not a question of being self centered this time but otherwise sensual, libidinal and to the extent, genital.
Premier source of life, fetal by the feeding cord and post natal by the birth, the navel does the bond and the rupture, it forms and informs, and sometimes deforms.
Embroidering these navels I create zones, limited surfaces.
Limited between its shape and interpretation, between the “show” and the “demonstrate”, between the apparent and the transparent, sensible limit. Small woven squares, membranous, my navels fit. They restructure, resituate. As well reflection as transparency, memory and oblivion of the shape, my navels/threads weave and print a resemblance/difference between the other and the self.

My main specialization is everything educational, from chidren's books to IT course material and anything regarding tourism (from flyers to marketing documents for airlines) I also translate poetry, biographies as well as web pages. Lately I've been translating a lot of medical documents and legal documents.
I went to the Sorbonne university and have a MA in foreign languages (Spanish/English) with an option in translation.After working in tourism for a few years, I have been teaching/translating for 4 years now and by leaving in 3 different countries I feel really comfortable in translating in three different languages.
