John-Paul Trutnau was educated in Germany, England and Canada. He holds degrees in Art History, Radio & TV Arts as well as a graduate degree in American Culture & Communications and a PhD in Media Studies. Having gained early management experience working in various media areas such as advertising, public relations, the film industry and the new media - where he worked part-time doing translations, he shifted his focus towards full-time translation services. Due to his education in the Arts and special bilingual profile (native in German and English) he has developed a keen eye for texts of any kind, which reflects in his work as a professional translator. He has recently published two new books, both in the area of media studies, which are available at amazon.com.
