Hi,
I have a Master’s degree in Translation (English & Italian into Dutch) and over four years of experience as a full time freelance translator.
Following a few financial translations in the very first months, I have translated mainly texts of a technical nature, ranging from Operation and Maintenance manuals for heavy machinery to UI-strings for a mobile telephone. The bulk of these translations, however, consisted of software manuals and help files, including user interfaces, and website localisation.
Other than these I have translated or edited marketing material and product brochures, applying the same emphasis on target language clarity throughout, more often than not adding considerably to the source text’s legibility, or its persuasive intention.
I have been SDL Trados (level III) Certified since July 2006.
