About me

Please kindly check my availability first.

Major Clients Worked For (via Translation companies)

MedTronic(AED)
TissueLink(RF Surgery Device)
Stryker(Medical Imaging)
Hoya(Intraocular Lense)
Merck(Merck Manual, just a portion of proofread)
GlaxoSmithKline(various materials)
Camfil Farr(Industrial Air Filter)
FootQuest(and MotionQuest Products for Nike shoes)
Microsoft(Windows Embedded)

PLEASE SPECIFY FIRST, IN YOUR PROZ MESSAGE TO ME

Besides size and field of the material to be translated, please kindly specify the following three items:
(1) Trados or other CAT tool is necessary or not.
(2) If Trados is necessary in item (1), Trados Add-on is necessary, which sometimes collision with other add-ons in the case of large translated file, or just TagEditor is OK.
(3) If you have a reviewer who can speak the target language, i.e. Japanese,
for the job or not.

Trados segmentation sometimes makes review and edit easy, translation difficult. Thus I think "with Trados" should mean "the translation will be reviewed by someone" by default.
Please inform me With Trados No Reviewer case until negotiating rates.
Then I can estimate more exact period to translate.

For repetition discount based on Trados Repetition Analysis,
if there is no special requirement, default weights are:

*No Match 100%
*50 - 74% Match 75%
*75 - 84% Match 60%
*85 - 94% Match 60%
*95 - 99% Match 30%
*100% Match 10%
*Repetition 10%

Two notes for ProZ page expression issue:
(1) Now(Jan.24th 2006) video greeting on the top left doesn't work properly (I couldn't replay any format.), so here is an alternative in WMV format of about 1.2 mega bytes.
(2) I'm an En>Ja translator but not an experienced Ja>En translator. So I will deal with Ja>En translation only if it is combined with En>Ja tranalsation material.
