منذ فجر التاريخ ويد الإنسان هي التي تطوع ما سخره الله من خيرات على هذه الأرض، فهو يبتكر ويبني ويطور أدوات تجعل من حياته أسهل وأرقى، ليصنع الحضارة بكل جمالها وروعتها. أشعل النار، وصنع أدوات الصيد، ونسج ثيابه، وزرع الأرض، وجنى محاصيله وابتكر ونوع ابتكاراته حتى مهد لكل ما نشهده من تقدم تشاركنا جميعا في الاستفادة منه. وكل ذلك بدأ من يد الانسان صنعة واحترافا، فالعطار والصانع والتناك والقطان والسقا والحداد والجزاف والصفار والشاوي والحايك وغيرهم ناس تسمو بأسماء حرفهم فرفعتهم وخلدت أسماءهم. فالرجل يعجب الناس فإن قيل لا حرفة له سقط من أعينهم. | Translation - Arabic

from time immemorial, Man has sought to tame nature and benefit from its resources. by his mind and hand, Man invented, made and developed tools to make his life style easier, and more civilized. He discovered fire, made his hunting tools, wove his garment, farmed his land, reaped his harvest and shoed all flashes of innovations which paved the way for the current modern life. and nowadays, Man developed machines to take on more of the physical work and invented computers to take on many of the mental tasks that not long ago only humans could do. تاريخ منطقة عمليات الخفجي المشتركة تاريخ طويل يمتد إلى أكثر من خمسين سنة وبالتحديد في ديسمبر 1957 حين وقعت اتفاقية الامتياز بين المملكة العربية السعودية وبين الشركة التجارية اليابانية، ثم تلاها في يوليو عام 1958 توقيع اتفاقية مماثلة مع دولة الكويت، ومرورا بشهر يناير 1960 حيث أثبت البئر رقم "1" وجود حقل زيت ضخم سمي بحقل "الخفجي" تيمناً بمدينة الخفجي، وانتهاء بتلك العمليات البترولية التي جعلت من مدينة الخفجي رمزاً للنفط، حتى حلت الشركتان الوطنيتان، أرامكو لأعمال الخليج والشركة الكويتية لنفط الخليج، محققتين شراكة فريدة أصبحت نموذجا يحتذى به على مستوى المنطقة. وقد تعهدت شركة أرامكو لأعمال الخليج والشركة الكويتية لنفط الخليج، منذ إنشائهما، انتاج الزيت الخام وغيره من المنتجات النفطية في المنطقة المقسومة والتي تشمل أربعة حقول هي: (حقل الخفجي، حقل الحوت، حقل اللؤلؤ، حقل الدرة). ومنذ بداية الشراكة التي بنتها الدولتان الشقيقتان، والعمليات المشتركة في الخفجي تنتهج نهجا استراتيجيا لبناء علاقة تقوم على الثقة المتبادلة والانفتاح، وكان لهذا النهج الفضل في وضع أساس صلب لشراكة متينة مع جميع أطراف عمليات الخفجي المشتركة. | Translation - English
Glorious History and Promising Future
With more than fifty years of productive march, Khafji Joint Operations started in December 1957 upon entering a concession agreement between Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Japanese Trading Company, followed by similar agreement entered with the State of Kuwait in July 1958. Thereafter, in January 1960, the Well No. 1 unveiled a huge petroleum field “Khafji”, and the joint operations commenced in full swing and continued until the two national companies; Aramco Gulf Operations Company (AGOC) and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC), entered into unique partnership to assume the operations. Since then, AGOC and KGOC started producing crude oil and other petroleum products in the divided zone, in four fields: (Khafji, Hout, Lolo and Dorra). This blissful partnership adopted strategic approach to build a strong relation and consolidate the soul of partnership on mutual confidence basis between all parties of Khafji Joint Operations.
