More Less | Sample translations submitted: 2| English to Spanish: Literary/academic translation | Source text - English When Ruby Cohn edited what she called in the subtitle “Miscellaneous Writings and a Dramatic Fragment by Samuel Beckett,” she used the dismissive title offered by Samuel Beckett himself, Disjecta. First collected and published in 1983 with Beckett’s reluctant agreement (for the sake of scholars, he noted), it is finally a handy collection of Samuel Beckett’s early and admittedly minor writings, missing only the essay on Marcel Proust to make it the “complete critical writings.” Proust was published separately in 1930 and hence not gathered in the Cohn collection, although Beckett remained as dismissive of this effort as he was of those he dismissively dubbed Disjecta.
