Thus Tacla stretches the limits of objective representation until it breaks down into subjective abstraction, allowing the expression of unconscious feelings that factual representation tends to repress. Tacla moves from the exterior to the interior, from description to evocative nuance: the architectural ruins, which are a sort of wasteland of apocalyptic history, dissolve into the engulfing atmosphere, barely holding their own materially in its enigmatic immateriality. Aesthetically dematerialized into a ghostly abstraction—a sort of disembodied mirage--the ruins lose their historical objectivity and gain universal import. They become the spiritual desert celebrated in archaic myth: the ascetic space of introspection where existential visions spontaneously emerge from the emptiness. For Tacla, aesthetic annihilation masks annihilation anxiety, even as it puts the finishing touch on historical annihilation—the aesthetic aura that informs his ruins and deserts is the final coup de grace, putting history out of its misery, so to speak--but the aesthetic also liberates the spirit from history. | Translation - Spanish
Por tanto Tacla desafía los límites de la representación objetiva hasta descomponerla en abstracción subjetiva, lo que permite expresar sentimientos inconscientes que la representación fáctica tiende a reprimir. Tacla se desplaza desde el exterior hacia el interior; desde la descripción hacia la sutileza evocativa: las ruinas arquitectónicas, que son una especie de tierra arrasada de historia apocalíptica, se disuelven en un ambiente abrumador, que apenas sostiene su propia materialidad dentro de su inmaterialidad enigmática. Estéticamente desmaterializadas hasta la abstracción fantasmal, hasta una especie de espejismo incorpóreo, las ruinas pierden su objetividad histórica y adquieren trascendencia universal.
