En 2003, selon les statistiques du ministère de la Sécurité publique (Motard, 2005), les jeunes de 12 à 24 ans composaient près de 25 % des victimes dans les dossiers policiers sur la violence conjugale. THE SOCIAL RELEVANCE OF THE PROGRAM
It is difficult to assess the true extent of the phenomenon of violence in teen dating relationships. In 2003, according to statistics from the Department of Public Security (Motard, 2005), youth between the ages of 12 and 24 constituted close to 25% of the victims of conjugal violence in police files. Three times more males than females aged 13 to 17 and five times more males than females aged 18 to 24 initiated some form of violence in couples. |
