I am a native Norwegian who has lived in the United States for the last 17 years. I learned English in early childhood and consider myself fully bilingual. I have translated for the past 10 years, both as a freelancer and as part of an agency. I also work as an English-Norwegian interpreter, mainly over the phone with various medical institutions.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (with a minor in European Medieval History) and a Master of Science in Biotechnology. As a student, I was hired as a college English tutor for the campus Writing Center. Before I decided to become a full-time translator and interpreter, I worked in molecular research laboratories. I have also taught several university-level classes, including bacteriology and various microbiology and molecular laboratory courses.
Although my translation specialty is science, I have translated numerous texts in several fields. I enjoy the variety of my work, and I would be happy to help you with your translation needs.
