The Principles provide a framework intended to improve comparability and transparency in embedded value reporting across Europe.
The Group has adopted these Principles, for its Embedded Value (EV) reporting for the companies and business reported in its XY segment as from December 31, 2005 and has restated its new business results for the six months ended June 30, 2005 in line with the Principles. The methodology adopted uses a “bottom-up” market consistent approach to allow explicitly for market risk. For some countries, simplified approaches (such as a roll-forward approach) have been used to derive the embedded value results as of June 30, 2006, and these approaches conform with the Group’s market consistent approach.
EV is derived from the statutory and IFRS financial statements of entities representing the covered business and is presented net of minority interests. | Translation - German Die Grundsätze zum European Embedded Value (die Grundsätze) wurden im Mai 2004 vom CFO Forum publiziert.

After 4 years of study at the "Translator's School" in St.Gallen, Switzerland, I was trying to get a full time job as a translator.
That was 28 years ago.
In the meantime I am married with Laura and I am the happy father of Sarah and Désirée.
Laura is endlessly helping me with coping all the translation work that comes in every day.
Now virtually from the very beginning I have always been strongly engaged in the industry.
From meat processing machines, which was a very good experience indeed, to advertising and marketing for youngsters in the banking industry. After that I was working for ten demanding years in an international insurance group. There I was responsible for marketing services, advertising campaigns, market research, product management etc. It was a very interesting period.
I am happy to have done all this work because it really helps me to cope with all the various translation projects.
I am only taking jobs in fields I feel confident
Marcel
