I have more than 30 years' experience as a business and automotive writer. Early in my career, I worked as a rewrite person on the English language service at Agence France-Presse in Paris, often translating news dispatches from French to English under deadline pressures. I have continued to do French-English translations since then. And over the past five years, I have worked as a German-English translator, translating about 750,000 words for Automotive News Europe/Automobilwoche, for a special subscriber based newsletter on the German automotive industry. And throughout my career, I have worked primarily as a reporter and editor covering business issues and the auto industry. I now write about consumer subjects for AOL, teach at Wayne State University in Detroit, and work as a freelance German-English and French-English translator. |
