About me
Though I haven't formally studied languages, growing up in a multilingual house, with a mother member of the AIIC (conference interpretation and translation, 5 languages), meant languages were thrown at me from birth.
Thus I learnt early to switch not only languages, but also mental frame, because what truly defines one's mastery of a linguistic universe is grasping the mentality it embodies.
Family time always resembles a European tower of Babel.

It is my willingness to help with translations or interpretations that started me in this line of work. Satisfied with voluntary and gracious jobs, university professors, employers or acquaintances started offering me paid projects. Word of mouth has given me the opportunity to do, amongst other things, whispering interpretation in the context of a conference on the future of the editing world, simultaneous interpretation for multicultural/lingual artistic projects, and translations of social science texts to be used for a MSc programm at the LSE.

I thoroughly enjoy the mental game that both translation and interpretation involve, and always aim to do justice to meaning over mere words, style over vocabulary. Hence my particular interest in social sciences, interviews, and literary texts in general.
