I have formal experience teaching Hmong language (verbal and written) at the university level. As a student, I co-taught a Hmong de-cal class at UC Berkeley. This class included reading, writing, and speaking in Hmong at various levels ranging from beginners to advanced. I also have experience interpreting English to/from Hmong in a variety of school, social and health-medical settings.
INTERPRETATION EXPERIENCE:

2000-2001. Hmong Cultural Liaison.
Summerbridge Program, Sacramento Country Day School. Sacramento, CA.
Responsibilities: Acted as liasion for Hmong-speaking parents during campus events and parent-teacher conferences.

2004-Assisted in research project with Thammasat University in a Hmong refugee camp in central Thailand.
