Having worked for over 25 years in the German-speaking advertising industry, I have developed an innate feel for the nuances of German advertising and marketing speak and have an uncanny ability to translate this into English.
My major clients are German/Austrian advertising agencies, who use me to translate advertising, marketing presentations, production briefings, press releases, entry forms for international advertising awards. The proceeds are either used directly (i.e as advertising in English speaking/international markets) or indirectly for presentation to non-German-speaking clients, or as an international base text for subsequent translation into another langauge for local use. Furthermore, these agencies have often referred me directly to their clients to translate packaging texts, corporate web-sites etc.
I bill according to the difficulty of the work involved. Longer texts are billed at Euro 1.20 per 50 stroke line, shorter texts (such as headlines, body copy, spots) at a standard Euro 35 per unit. | Keywords: advertising, marketing, packaging, advertising production briefs, press releases, international advertising award entries
