今年初めに行われた第49回ヤマサクラ日米共同指揮演習に米軍及び自衛隊が参加しました。毎年行われるこの演習は、お互いの指揮能力を強化する他、日米間の相互運用性の向上を目的としております。米軍の参加部隊は第三海兵機動展開部隊、在日米陸軍、第5空軍、在日米海軍、在日米軍司令部等、日本の参加部隊は西部方面隊、航空総隊及び自衛隊艦隊等です。
Translation - English
Early this year, the US military and the JGSDF participated in the US-Japan bilateral CPX, Yama Sakura 49. The purpose of this annual exercise is to strengthen command staff skills and improve interoperability between US and Japan. Participating US units include III MEF, USARJ, 5 AF, CNFJ, and USFJ, and participating Japanese units include the WAHQ, ADC, and SDF Fleet.
