In 2004 I passed my final examination as state-examined translator for French (speciality: economy) at the Fremdspracheninstitut München (Munich language school). My second foreign language during this vocational training was Spanish. After this course of studies I worked about 4.5 years as a project manager in a translation agency. There I gained extensive experience in translating, proofreading and the handling of Trados. In 2006 I was publicly appointed and officially sworn for French at the Regional Court of Munich. I started my career as a freelance translator in 2010. For this purpose I passed an advanced training course for Trados Studio 2009 at the BDÜ (Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators) in order to be up-to-date regarding the software skills of translators.
