Simultaneous interpreting is my favourite! Not along the tramlines, outside the box - outside the booth. It may be 'around table' set up, usually associated with consecutive interpreting but if time is precious, communication intensive, response needed immediately - simultaneous works best. Delivered in a low voice, not whispered.
They ear bash, they exhort, they steer clear of, they fall for it, they dodge, they ignore, and they exhaust the subject matter of the meeting. THEY communicated, I was invisible. Granted this is my call!
