LANGUAGES: English - French - Greek

Given that English is my mother tongue, I normally only translate into this language. However, depending on your requirements and the subject, I will also translate into French or Greek.

SPECIALIST FIELDS: medicine - pharmaceutical industry

I have a long-standing interest in medicine and the pharmaceutical industry. My university education and subsequent work experience consolidated my knowledge and provided me with a good understanding and valuable insights into this field of human endeavour.

For technical documents in other fields, I promise to provide an objective assessment of my ability to complete your project to my exacting standards within the desired timeframe.

Monolingual services

For me, the English language is a passion and a profession.

I enjoy words for the sake of words. And I am lucky enough to be able to earn a living doing something I enjoy!

I can offer the skills that I have used and honed in the demanding world of medical communications. They include but are not limited to proof-reading, copywriting, writing and rewriting.

My background has also provided me with other skills that may be of interest (e.g. DTP skills including Quark and InDesign, design and maintainance of websites, graphic design).

In short, I am more than 'just' a translator so don't hesitate to contact me to discuss your project, whatever it is.

My approach

Getting the job done in the required time and to a high standard is the bottom line, but my clients also appreciate:

Char-BlEllipse.gif a single friendly point of contact reactivity
Char-BlEllipse.gif flexibility competitive rates!

My aim is to establish long-term partnership with each of my clients.

My tagline

For the curious: apart from being a shameless ploy to attract attention, my tagline is also an allusion to the lateralisation of brain function (did you notice the brain on top of the page?). An apt representaton for an ex-neuroscientist translator with design and webmaster experience!

Did you know that most people are left- or right-brained? (One side is more dominant than the other.) Try the following test to see for yourself.

First, read the text out loud.

Then, go through the text and read out the colour of each word.

Most people have trouble on the second part, because their left brain is used to taking charge!
