Imperial Suites’ first American hotel revels in sheer, unabashed luxury. Acquired by the Hong Kong-based hotel company in 1988, the Beaux Arts-style former Grosvenor Hotel now offers Asia’s utmost standard of service in Midtown Manhattan. The tradition that began in 1928 with the original Pearl Hotel in Hong Kong now extends to a host of other fine hostelries around the world.
Once past the five-bayed Fifth Avenue facade of hand-carved limestone, guests of The Pearl check in at a small, discreet front desk. From the reception area to the restaurants, all public spaces surround visitors with the swirling romance of Art Nouveau styling, a mode that reached its first height of glory in late nineteenth century Paris. Works of art by such French masters as Majorelle, Gallé, Mercier, and Gaillard set off handmade European carpets, marble floors and staircases, mahogany and burl wood wall panelling and glittering chandeliers.

Una volta oltrepassato l’ingresso a cinque campate in pietra scolpita a mano di Fifth Avenue, gli ospiti del The Pearl effettuano la registrazione ad un piccolo e riservato front-desk. Dall’area di ricevimento ai ristoranti, tutti gli spazi pubblici avvolgono i clienti in un romantico vortice dell’Art Nouveau, stile che ha raggiunto l’apice della sua gloria a Parigi nel tardo XIX secolo. Un des objectifs de la conférence de Nairobi est de discuter de la poursuite du protocle de Kyoyo après 2012. Lundi, l'UE a insisté sur le fait qu'elle ne représente que 14% des émissions mondiales de gaz à effet de serre et que la pression devrait aussi s'exercer sur les gros pollueurs qui n'ont pas ratifié le Protocole de Kyoto, comme les Etats-Unis et l'Australie, et les pays émergents qui polluent aussi énormément (Chine, Inde, Brésil) et qui ne sont pas pour l'instant soumis aux réductions.
Selon les organisations de défense de l'environnement, un accord sur les futurs engagements de réduction de gaz à effet de serre doit intervenir en 2008, au plus tard en 2009, le temps de permettre aux pays de ratifier le texte avant qu'il n'entre en vigueur en janvier 2013. Dans ce contexte, la conférence de Nairobi devrait être l'occasion de déterminer un "plan de travail" pour de futures négociations sur l'après 2012, estime WWF.

Uno degli obiettivi della conferenza di Nairobi è la discussione di ciò che seguirà il 2012. Lunedì l’UE ha insistito sul fatto che essa sia responsabile del 14% delle emissioni mondiali di gas effetto serra e che si dovrebbe esercitare pressione anche sui grandi paesi inquinatori che non hanno ratificato il Protocollo di Kyoto, come gli Stati Uniti e l’Australia, e i paesi emergenti che inquinano notevolmente (Cina, India e Brasile) e che per il momento non sono soggetti a riduzioni.
Secondo le organizzazioni di difesa dell’ambiente, un accordo sui futuri impegni per la riduzione dei gas serra dovrebbe avvenire entro il 2008, al più tardi nel 2009, il tempo di permettere ai paesi di ratificare il testo prima che entri in vigore nel 2013. In tale contesto, secondo il WWF, la conferenza di Nairobi dovrebbe essere l’occasione per determinare un “piano di lavoro” per future negoziazioni del post 2012.

Es muß unterschiedlich gehandelt werden, je nachdem, ob das Aggregat mit Ansaugung oder unterhalb des Anschlagpunktes betrieben werden soll.
Aggregate unterhalb des Anschlagpunktes
Das Füllen des Pumpengehäuses bei Aggregaten unterhalb des Anschlagpunktes, die durch Zulaufförderung versorgt werden, erfolgt durch Entfernen des Einfüllstopfens 9 und nachfolgendem Öffnen des saugseitigen Schiebers - wenn vorgesehen - bis eine bemerkenswerte Menge Wasserfalls vom Stopfen herausfließt. Nun wird der Schieber wieder geschlossen, der Stopfen fest angezogen und das Aggregat angefahren.
Aggregate oberhalb des Anschlagpunktes
Die Druckpumpenaggregate dieser Serie sind selbstansaugend und können auch ohne Füllen des Ansaugrohres angefahren werden; es muß ausschließlich das Pumpengehäuse gefüllt werden, bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme oder nach einem Eingriff bei der Pumpe, auf jeden Fall wird eine komplette Füllung empfohlen, um zu lange Anfüllzeiten zu vermeiden.
Wird das Ansaugrohr nicht aufgefüllt, braucht das Aggregat einige Minuten für die Selbstansaugung; die Anfüllzeit ist abhängig von dem Durchmesser und von der Länge des Ansaugrohres.

Si deve innanzitutto effettuare una distinzione a secondo se il gruppo deve lavorare in aspirazione o sottobattente.
Gruppi sottobattente
Il riempimento del corpo pompa per i gruppi sottobattente, riforniti mediante pressione, avviene attraverso la rimozione del tappo di riempimento 9 e la successiva apertura della saracinesca in aspirazione, se prevista, fino alla fuoriuscita di una notevole quantità di liquido dal tappo. Richiudere nuovamente la saracinesca, rimontare il tappo e il gruppo si avvierà.
Gruppi soprabattente
I gruppi di pressioni di questa serie sono autoadescanti e possono essere avviate anche senza il riempimento del tubo di aspirazione; si deve solamente riempire il corpo pompa durante la prima attivazione o dopo un avviamento della pompa. In ogni caso si raccomanda un completo riempimento per evitare tempi di riempimento troppo lunghi.
Se il tubo di aspirazione non è riempito, il gruppo ha bisogno di qualche minuto per l’autoadescamento; il tempo di riempimento dipende al diametro e dalla lunghezza del tubo di aspirazione.
