Health Care Plans
This section tells you what kinds of benefits are “excluded.” Excluded means that the plan doesn’t cover these benefits.
The list below describes some services and items that aren’t covered under any conditions and some that are excluded only under specific conditions.
• Experimental medical and surgical procedures, equipment and medications, unless covered by Original Medicare. However, certain services may be covered under a Medicare-approved clinical research study. See Chapter 3, Section 5 for more information on clinical research studies.
• Surgical treatment for morbid obesity, except when it is considered medically necessary and covered under Original Medicare.
• Elective or voluntary enhancement procedures or services (including weight loss, hair growth, sexual performance, athletic performance, cosmetic purposes, anti-aging and mental performance), except when medically necessary.
• Chiropractic care, other than manual manipulation of the spine consistent with Medicare coverage guidelines.
• Supportive devices for the feet, except for orthopedic or therapeutic shoes for people with diabetic foot disease.

En la siguiente lista figuran algunos servicios y prestaciones que no tienen cobertura bajo ninguna circunstancia, así como algunos que quedan excluidos sólo en determinados casos.
• Procedimientos médicos y quirúrgicos de carácter experimental, equipos y medicamentos, a menos que estén cubiertos por el plan original de Medicare. Sin embargo, hay ciertos servicios que pueden ser cubiertos a través de un estudio clínico aprobado por Medicare. Para mayor información acerca de estudios clínicos, lea la sección 5 del capítulo 3.
• Tratamiento quirúrgico de la obesidad mórbida, excepto que el médico lo considere necesario y esté cubierto por el plan original de Medicare.

I currently hold a Bachelor´s Degree in Literary, Scientific, and Technical Translation. I particularly have great passion in translating literary texts, since I am a writer as well.
As regards interpretation, I am very interested in performing liaison interpretations. In this respect, I can work not only with Spanish and English, but also with Mandarin Chinese, since I lived in China for a year as a scholarship student, and I currently continue learning here in Argentina.
As to my fields of expertise, I have been working as a freelancer since my graduation in 2007, mainly in the areas of marketing/branding and medicine, but naturally I am open to many other translation fields as well. |
