I am a Swedish citizen, retired and permanently resident in the Philippines. Originally a lawyer in Sweden (company law, taxation law) I left the bar 1987 to work as CEO for an off-shore company. I have lived abroad since then and only talked, read and written English, even in the family. This background makes it natural for me to work with legal, economic or administrative texts. I am, apart from Bachelor of Law also Bachelor of Economics.

I started with translations 2003 when I gradually closed my original business in preparation for retirement. From 2005 I am retired and I work with translations for fun and for some extra income. Cost of living is very low here, which makes my pricing competitive compared to that of legal translators in Europe. I charge up to 1.2 SEK/word for advanced legal translation, less for easier texts.
