I opted for early retirement for health reasons after serving the world's children with UNICEF, in Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean. I also served 6 years as a Senior policy adviser on Health,Women's Issues,HIV/AIDS,Community Participation and Social Development concommitantly with the UNDP and UNIFEM.
My work as a freelance translator (Eng-Fr-Eng)has been intermittent for over 20 years and I have consistently volunteered as a Staff Member to interpret for high level consultation and meetings both for the UN,the Organization of African Unity (now (African Union) and several international Non-Governmental Organizations.
Since my early retirement, I have been happily self employed as a Grant Reviewer, Writer,Translator and Multicultural Healthcare Expert as well as in the fields outlined in my CV.
Accomplishments include the development of policy papers on HIV/AIDS, Girls' Education, Community Medicine, International Development and Socio-Economic Situation Analyses in French, English and Spanish. |
