I have graduated cum laude with a Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics (Translation and Interpretation, Teaching English as a Second Language) from the MCS State University in Lublin, Poland. In addition to that, I studied in the United States-- at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania under a grant received from the Mayor of the City of Lublin, Poland. I also attended a course in Russian Film at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. I have also traveled to the United States and the United Kingdom several times (including a brief 4-month work experience in London).

EXPERIENCE IN TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION:

I have worked as translator since 2003. My major and/or most recent clients include direct clients (both, corporate and private) as well as translation agencies from the United Kingdom, Sweden, Iceland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Canada, the United States and Australia.

I have managed to translate ca. 2 million words thus far. I enjoy working on texts related to law, taxes, diplomacy and politics (currently, I am attending post-graduate studies in diplomacy and international relations at the famous Warsaw School of Economics), sports and business. Please mind that, due to a lack of expertise, I will not be able to help with any texts of medical nature.

From October 2006 to July 2007, I worked for Skrivanek Polska Language School, as a part-time General- and Business English teacher.

From October 2007 to August 2008, I worked for Linguae Mundi (Foreign Language Teaching Foundation), teaching Business English part time.

From February 2007 to August 2008, I worked as Senior Project Manager and In-house Translator (English & Russian) for e-ling, an Online Translation Agency, being responsible manly for developing company's marketing strategy (website, local ad campaigns, marketing strategies in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus), recruiting staff & staff training as well as managing major translation and interpretation projects including several languages and several hundred customers from all over Europe.



RATES AND METHODS OF PAYMENT:

My rates per target word start from EUR0.06 and vary, depending on the content of the source text, the volume and the deadline.
