In-house, 1,5 million words project concerning the original translation of a Greek ERP software into English and from English into 5 Eastern Europe languages (Bulgarian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish and Romanian). The project involved the development of translation assistance tools, the extraction and ongoing maintenance of terminology and, of course, the translation of the original and all subsequent versions of the software.
Naturally, all aspects of the software were translated, including the database, application server, business logic, user interface, online help, user and consultant documentation, sample data and translation of Q&A and support documents. I was the translator for the Greek-English pair and the project manager for all translations from English to the other languages.
