I was born in Iran and moved to the United Kingdom when I was seven years old. Growing up in an Iranian family in the birthplace of the English language presented me with invaluable opportunities. Of primary importance, I could learn two languages, Farsi (Persian) and English, and absorb both cultures to the extent that I am able to interpret original text and express translated text from either language to the other as a native would. In 2002, I graduated from Warwick University in computer engineering and moved to Singapore.


There I worked as a marketing consultant with many of the leading global technology companies. At the same time I joined a translation company as a Farsi freelance translator, and with more than 12 years of experience as a freelancer, I brought extensive knowledge in translations across many sectors and industries. In 2009, I moved to the United States to continue my studies at the postgraduate level.


Bilingualism and my studies in engineering have provided me the ability to translate from Farsi into English and vice versa with confidence and ease. Strong interest from international clients has seen me working with technology giants, including Samsung, HTC, Google, Sony, and Apple. I have also provided brand-name evaluation services as part of Interbrand’s Lang Gauge™ project for the Farsi language. Moreover, I have worked with many texts related to engineering, aviation, construction, legal, marketing, medical, real estate, and tourism, as you can see in my CV.


I have also been involved in a large projects involving the proofreading and copy editing of English documents, mostly written by nonnative speakers and in need of polishing).
