Noemi Hiraishi worked with me as an interpreter and translator during the week I spent in Sao Paolo on research assignment in early December, 2006. Her work was absolutely terrific: she translated from Portuguese into Japanese for me (I speak Japanese as well as English), her command of vocabulary was excellent, and her ability to interact effectively with the people we interviewed was superb. She is disciplined, thorough, and hard-working. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Noemi as an interpreter and translator in the three languages in which she is fluent: Portuguese, Japanese, and English.
