A qualified linguist with a doctorate from Cambridge University and degrees from the universities of Liverpool and London, I am a professional freelance translator with impeccable writing, research and editing skills honed over twenty years in Great Britain, France and Algeria.


I currently work as an in-house freelance translator for a French translation company and as an independent translator with my own private clients.


My expertise lies in providing well-written, well-researched translations to tight schedules: I have made my name through being reliable and flexible - and delivering on time.



Working as an in-house translator for a French to English translation company, my clients include the nuclear, aviation, defence and IT industries.


My private freelance clients range from travel agencies and art galleries to scientific periodicals and newspapers. Thanks to a highly eclectic background, I have a broad range of technical knowledge, including (but not limited to) the fields of marketing, politics, transport, psycho-analysis, economics, finance and electronics. I also have a keen interest in IT and new technologies.



Having worked in travel, tourism and marketing in France and Algeria for a total of nine years, I am fluent in French. Thanks to my background in Latin and linguistics, I high an exceptionally high level of mother-tongue English.
