| English to Indonesian: THE SINGPORE EDUCATION OPEN HOUSE General field: Other Detailed field: Education / Pedagogy | Source text - English The Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) is organised annually to showcase the diverse talents of our students in the performing arts, sports and uniformed groups. Since its inception in 1966, the SYF has played an important role in providing a platform for students to refine their skills in art and the different performing arts. Through participation in the various SYF activities, students in various Co-CurriculaActivities (CCAs) also develop social skills and build bonds with team mates from different social and ethnic backgrounds.
The SYF takes place over two periods in a year: April and July. In April, the central judging benchmarks the standards of the following performing arts groups in schools: band, Chinese orchestra, choir, dance, drama and instrumental ensembles. Based on their performance in April, suitable schools are then selected to be showcased during the July festival month. The central judging for secondary schools, junior colleges and centralised institutes takes place during odd years while primary schools have their central judging during even years. Today, the SYF sees an annual involvement of some 40,000 students from all schools in Singapore. | Translation - Indonesian Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) diselenggarakan setiap tahunnya untuk menampilkan bermacam-macam bakat para siswa kami dalam bidang seni pertunjukan, olah raga, dan kelompok-kelompok terpadu.
| English to Indonesian: Shop, Wine and Dine in Singapore General field: Other Detailed field: Food & Dairy | Source text - English Just because Singapore is a tiny island, doesn’t mean it can’t do BIG.
