I campi che costituiscono il messaggio contengono le seguenti tipologie
di dati:
• numeri interi senza segno (int): contenuti in una sequenza di byte
(se il valore del dato è minore di 256 si utilizza 1 byte, se il valore è
da 256 a 65535 si utilizzano 2 byte, etc.). Si utilizza la notazione
Big-endian (byte più significativo a sinistra).
• Importi espressi in centesimi di euro (€int): identico ad un campo
int,contiene l’importo espresso in centesimi di euro;
• Caratteri (char): un carattere è contenuto in 1 byte secondo la
codifica ASCII. Si specifica che i campi eventualmente non
valorizzati assumono il valore = “ “ (spazio) per ogni byte, fino a
coprire la lunghezza del campo. Inoltre, se il numero di caratteri è
inferiore a quella specificata nel protocollo, .si richiede di

1.1 CARATTERISTICHE DEI MESSAGGI
Ogni messaggio è costituito da due parti:
− Header: contiene i dati necessari all’individuazione del tipo di
messaggio, nonché del sistema che lo ha inviato. E’ fisso ed uguale
per tutti i messaggi.
− Body: contiene i dati che connotano la specifica richiesta o
comunicazione presente nel messaggio. Ha una dimensione variabile,
secondo la richiesta o la comunicazione che si effettua da o verso il
sistema di convalida.
Per inviare un messaggio, il sistema di elaborazione del concessionario
deve predisporre uno stream di byte contenente l’header e il body
opportunamente valorizzati.

La risposta fornita dal sistema di convalida sarà composta dall’header
esattamente uguale a quello della richiesta (ad eccezione del campo
lunghezza del body) seguito da un body valorizzato con la risposta: il
primo campo conterrà zero in caso di esito positivo, mentre in caso di
errore conterrà il codice identificativo dello stesso.
1.2 ELENCO DEI MESSAGGI
Sono previsti i seguenti messaggi:

1.3 SEQUENZA DEI MESSAGGI E REGOLE DI INVIO
Sono previste due distinte modalità di gestione dei flussi di
comunicazione:
− Modalità 1 - Trasmissione dei dati relativi a ciascuna sessione
all’avvio effettivo del gioco;
− Modalità 2 - Trasmissione dei dati relativi a ciascuna sessione
all’apertura della sessione stessa da parte del concessionario.
Per semplicità di esposizione, si fa riferimento agli adempimenti del
concessionario, anche se la trasmissione è fisicamente eseguita dal FSC
di cui si avvale, il cui codice deve essere indicato nell’apposito campo
del header di ciascun messaggio.
Si forniscono altresì precisazioni in merito alle sessioni di gioco offerte
tramite circuito.

AAMS VALIDATION SYSTEM
1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMMUNICATION AND NATURE OF THE DATA
The fields which make up the message contain the following data types:
• whole numbers without signs (int): contained in a byte stream (if the value of the datum is less that 256 1 byte is used, if the value is between 256 and 65535 2 bytes, etc.). Big-endian notation is used (most significant byte at the left). It is stipulated that numerical fields containing monetary values must always be expressed in Euro cents.
• Characters (char): one character is contained in one byte as in ASCII coding. It is specified that fields which by chance have no values in them take the value = “ ” (space) for each byte until the whole length of the field is filled. In addition, if the number of characters is less than that specified in the protocol, characters of “ ” type (space) must be added at the right until the specified length is reached.
• Permitted characters are:

1.1 Message characteristics
Each message consists of two parts:
Header: contains the data necessary to identify the type of the message, as well as the system which sent it. It is fixed and the same for all messages.
Body: contains the data which connote the specific request or communication present in the message. The dimension is variable according to the request or communication being passed from or to the validation system.
To send a message, the agent’s processing system must provide a byte stream containing the header and the body with the appropriate values.
The response supplied by the validation system will consist of the header, exactly the same as that of the request (with the exception of the field length of the body) followed by an evaluated body with the response: the first field will contain zero in the case of a positive outcome, while in the case of an error it will contain the code identifying that particular error.
1.2 List of messages
The following messages are provided:

1.3 Sequence of messages and rules for sending
For each session the following messages must be sent:
1. Start of game session (200)
2. Right to participate (220)
3. End of session (300)
Messages 240, 260, 280 and 300 must be sent within a game session or after the closing of the actual session, while respecting the AAMS provision regarding:
- the time limit within which the list of winners must be published;
- the time limit within which the winnings or reimbursement must be credited;
- the conditions to which the possibility of requesting the cancellation of a right to participate or a session are subject.
Messages 200, 240, 260 and 320 are singular in number, that is, they can be sent only once within the game session, while the remaining messages may be sent more than once per session.
Message 240 may not be sent in the case of a game session involving a single player.
Message 260 is sent only once for games of the competition type, but will be sent a number of times equal to the number of wins taking lace within a single player session.
Message 280 must be sent only once for each player; in the case in which the player wins more than once in one session, the total sum must be shown.
Message 290 must be sent just once for each ticket in respect of which the cancellation proposal has been accepted.
Message 320 must be sent only in cases stipulated by the Administration, laid down in appropriate administrative provisions.

Il PSQF è un protocollo applicativo per la gestione delle Scommesse a Quota Fissa.
1. ENTITÀ COINVOLTE
I soggetti coinvolti nell'utilizzo del protocollo sono: l’Amministrazione Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato, i Fornitori del servizio di Connettività, i Concessionari e il Totalizzatore Nazionale.

2. ALLINEAMENTO APPLICATIVO
Una transazione PSQF è intesa come una sequenza di messaggi “richiesta risposta” scambiati tra un client ed un server; la sequenza è identificata univocamente tramite un apposito campo del protocollo obbligatorio in ciascun messaggio.
Il client è tenuto a valorizzare il campo identificativo della transazione nel messaggio di richiesta ed il server restituisce, nella risposta, il medesimo valore permettendo al client di associare i messaggi di risposta alla richiesta.
Il client che non dovesse ricevere la risposta attesa è autorizzato, secondo gli intervalli della tabella:

Dalla terza retry in poi
a ripetere la richiesta mantenendo inalterato il campo identificativo di transazione.
Questa regola consente di ottenere l’allineamento applicativo ovvero:
• Il client che dovesse ricevere una risposta con un identificativo di transazione diverso da quello inviato in richiesta, ha la possibilità di scartare tale risposta in attesa di quella corretta;
• Il server elabora la richiesta che ha ricevuto, invia la risposta al client e ne memorizza il contenuto. Nel caso in cui il server dovesse ricevere una richiesta, dallo stesso client contenente il medesimo identificativo di transazione, restituisce la risposta memorizzata senza elaborare nuovamente il messaggio. Il recupero del messaggio di risposta dal server è possibile esclusivamente per l’ultima transazione elaborata.
E' obbligatorio che ciascun client generi un identificativo di transazione differente tra due transazioni consecutive.
Il client è tenuto ad inviare la richiesta fino al ricevimento della risposta per tutti i messaggi che comportano la variazione dei dati presenti sul server.

A PCP protocol is used to exchange messages between the FSC and TN, which, depending on the circumstance, behaves either as a Client or as a Server.

1.2 Application alignment
Any client who does not receive a response is authorized to try sending the same message again after expiry of a timeout (10 seconds), without changing the content in any way. In such cases, if the server receives the same message two or more times, it will return a response with the relevant error message, which shows, (e.g. for a game), the recorded previous play itself.
It is therefore important that clients of the National Totaliser, who, in the relevant subnet, receive the same request from their terminals at regular intervals throughout the day, forward them only once to the server of the National Totaliser, unless a timeout is verified.

2 Coding Conventions
The following describes the type of data used to send messages in this protocol:
