I have 18 years' hands-on experience in accounting and auditing in industry, in three different countries, to back my subject knowledge in translation.
English-speaking professional of Dutch parentage.
I spent 18 years as a staff translator with the Dutch practice of one of the Big Four (4,800 staff) and met their uncompromising standards effortlessly. My ten years as a freelance have only honed and widened those skills even further.
My work at this Big Four firm covered its Dutch into English translation requirements in the Accounting, Advisory, Auditing, Tax, Consulting, Legal and Corporate Finance fields.
Court-certified with the District Court of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
I have been working for many years for a large number of leading agencies in the Netherlands and elsewhere, as well as for a number of prestigious direct clients. I also have several published translations to my name in the field of accounting and EU banking regulations. My most recent published translation (October 2006) is a 192 page book entitled 'High Potentials [Hipos]: Facts and Fictions'.
